During the latter half of the Civil War, Connor Wescott, a member of the home guard searching for Confederate deserters, finds himself sharing a camp with some rather unsettling men one night. Thinking that he has closed in on his easy prey — three lone Confederate runaways —, he soon realizes that the men he is after have long been hunting him to sate their own horror inducing appetites. The war has created monsters out of men in its bloody destruction, but Wescott doesn’t realize just how far the world has actually turned them.
